Our History
Wendt Pro started in 1986 as a Video Production Company just as portable VHS/Monitors began popping up at trade shows and in company board rooms. Founding partners Susan & Alan Wendt, combined their professional backgrounds and expanded services to include Public Relations and Marketing.
Our award winning experiential marketing programs with a single recreational boat dealer, launched a nationwide expansion to more than 100 dealers and manufacturers, creative artwork, newsletters and other direct mail/email and special events components that attracted a team of talented coworkers and expansion into the promotional products arena.
As a Certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) we have evolved over the decades and added another team of professionals in the area of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) catering to major civil Road & Bridge projects working directly with Prime Contracting P3s and JV’s. Our skilled team is well established with brand name suppliers, is competent person certified in fall protection and offers a level of technical support that far exceeds most PPE storefronts.
While we are capable of wearing many hats, this vast experience is a tremendous asset in providing our clients a significantly higher-level partnership with nimble response time.

Army Brat, with deployments around the world, Susan settled in Tampa first as a Paralegal, before joining JCPenney as director of communications. She developed her appreciation for marketing, sponsorships and event planning with the giant retailer before expanding the company’s video production firm. A pioneer in the experiential marketing discipline, Susan created a number of successful marketing programs in the recreational marine industry then turned her focus on consumer and employee incentives. Today she provides diversity based Strategic Sourcing solutions to prime contractors. Susan is active with the U.S. Womens Chamber of Commerce and serves as Small Business Liaison to the Federal Department of Transportation. Susan is a 20 plus year board member for the Ronald McDonald Houses in Tampa Bay.
Alan Wendt
Executive Vice President
Journalist for print, radio, TV and now the Internet – Alan has amassed a million miles on Delta covering global disasters and recreational boating lifestyles. Alan has always enjoyed finding ways to communicate. So when 8mm film cameras gave way to VHS tape decks, Wendt Productions was born. Today, Alan provides creative support to the Wendt team. He is our go to guy on PPE safety gear and researches emerging trends, keeping clients abreast of the incentives and promos that will motivate their customers and employees. When he’s not flying, you’ll find him choreographing the local 4th of July fireworks show set to music.
Ryan Wendt
Vice President
A graduate of the University of South Florida with an advanced degree in Athletic Training, Ryan traded stinky locker room socks and jocks for a more challenging gridiron handling multi-million dollar campaigns with game day logistical precision and execution. Managing client relations and the intricacies of fulfillment, this second generation Wendt has been on board since 1996 and balances Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to the delight of the Mobile Generation. William Wendt
Vice President Safety
William is a graduate of USF with an advanced degree in Physics with additional studies in Engineering and Computer Science. His educational background serves clients well through meticulous detail for procurement of PPE Safety related products and supply chain management. Will is an avid runner, angler, recreational boater, and serves on the Ronald McDonald House Charity Red Shoe Council. In addition he holds an ATF license for pyrotechnics and is well known for his July 4th fireworks displays.
